Notes
This shed was part of a larger restoration project undertaken by the Trout River Heritage Committee to restore a number of fishing sheds along the community’s harbour front. The sheds date from the early 1900s to the late 1970s. All the sheds were built by local fishermen and many have been handed down through families over generations. Fishermen built these structures to store fishing gear. This section of the community is still frequented by fishermen and is an important part of Trout River’s built landscape.
