Notes
Noble’s Store is a wooden, one and a half storey structure with a mid pitch gable roof. Ammond Noble and his son Lewis built the store in the late 1920s. It was used to store fishing nets and gear along with household supplies. Fred Noble purchased the store in the mid 1950s as extra storage for a general store he operated. Following the resettlement of Fair Island in 1959 and 1961, Fred’s father James and his wife Alice continued to use the store as a summer fishing residence for several years. Fred’s brother Jim also fished at Fair Island in the summer and lived in the store with his family when there.
